About Us...
First Baptist is an independent, fundamental Baptist Church, founded in 1836 making it one of the oldest churches in northern Indiana. On Sept. 4, 2006 the church celebrated its 170th birthday. To date the church has been led by 38 Senior Pastors. The church is in its third building and interestingly all three buildings are still in use in the city of Goshen today.
Today First Baptist has a membership of over 320 and an average attendance of about 300 at Sunday Morning Worship. The church meets in a modern 24,000 square foot facility that includes over 20 classrooms and a large gymnasium, sitting on 12 acres of land on the southwest edge of the city of Goshen.

About Us...
Goshen First United Methodist Church is a very unique church for the area. We are one church but exist at two sites, which means that we are able to offer programming that a lot of other churches our size are not able to offer.
For instance, one of the big advantages of having two locations is the fact that you can choose the type of service that you would like to attend. We know that there are people who still like the traditional service with hymns, a choir, the Lord's Prayer, and a sancutary with pews, and if that is what you want then that is what you can have if you decide to attend the Downtown Facility on a Sunday Morning.
Then there are others that like the more modern music, they like the music to be a little louder, they like churches that use multi-media to capture the audience, they like comfortable chairs, and they like the non-traditional sanctuary, and if you are one of those people then we have a place for you as well. The service that takes place at the Life Center is a very contemporary style of worship.
In addition to offering the two service styles, our church also offers other ministries that are led by full time staff, such as a wonderful music ministry, children's ministry, and youth ministry.

About Us...
The Friends of the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail, Inc. (Friends) is a not-for-profit, 501 (c) (3) organization, dedicated to converting the abandoned Pumpkinvine railroad corridor into a linear park and greenway for public use. The corridor begins at Abshire Park in Goshen and extends about 17 miles in a northeasterly direction, running from Goshen through the town of Middlebury to Shipshewana. At Abshire Park, it also connects to Goshen's Maple City Greenway. The project includes building a trail on the corridor to allow use by walkers, joggers, bikers and other forms of non-motorized transportation.
The Friends formed in 1993 and purchased the corridor, mostly from the Penn Central Corporation. Additional portions were purchased or donated by businesses and individuals in the community. Since the initial purchase, the Friends have worked with the city of Goshen, the town of Middlebury, Elkhart County and the town of Shipshewana to seek construction grants from funding agencies to build the trail on the corridor.
The Friends is a totally volunteer organization. Funding for day-to-day operations comes from those who believe this project is important for our community today and for future generations.
